Speyside 21 Year 1998 XOP Single Malt Scotch Whisky
From the Speyside Distillery comes an independently bottled single malt, released as part of Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular range. It was distilled in May 1998 and whacked straight into a refill butt, where it lay resting for the next 21 years. When Douglas Laing finally deemed it ready, it was bottled in May 2019 at a fairly punch cask strength of 61.3% ABV, with the butt yielding only 256 bottles.

Palate: Almond croissant now, alongside freshly baked sourdough and apricot jam.
