Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 Sistema Solera Rum
Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 Sistema Solera Rum
Brand & History
Ron Zacapa was established in 1976 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the town of Zacapa in Guatemala. Produced at an altitude of over 2,300 meters above sea level, the rum benefits from slow maturation in the cool mountain climate, known as the "House Above the Clouds." Zacapa is internationally recognized for its premium rums crafted from virgin sugar cane honey rather than molasses.
Product
Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 is a premium Guatemalan rum produced using the Sistema Solera aging method. The blend incorporates rums aged between 6 and 23 years in a succession of American whiskey, sherry, and Pedro Ximénez wine casks. This maturation process creates a rich and complex spirit with exceptional smoothness and depth.

The palate is velvety and full-bodied, offering flavors of toffee, dark chocolate, honey, roasted coffee, dried fruit, orange peel, and sweet oak. Trivia
Unlike most premium rums, Ron Zacapa is distilled from virgin sugar cane honey—the concentrated first pressing of sugar cane juice—rather than molasses. This distinctive production method contributes to the rum's rich texture and refined sweetness.
