"Dark purple/red, not quite opaque. Aromas are predominantly savoury with notes of blackberry, boysenberry, damson, bullace & black olive. The wine is beautifully fresh & the alcohol balanced to give a slight warmth at the finish. On the palate the fruit has a red-fruit edge with mulberry & damson. The tannins are very fine & plentiful oak is well handled, adding toasty drying notes. The finish is fabulously long with lifted vanilla freshness at the end."
