A classic Niepoort vintage combining harmony and exceptional concentration while being extremely refined and delicate. The wine also has a rustic personality that gives it a sense of identity. It was produced in the Cima Corgo area of the Douro Valley from old, low-yielding grapes. The grapes were trampled in "lagares," and at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia, the Port was later aged in sizable wooden vats as well as in barrels.
Tasting Notes
Damsons, ripe dark fruits, and undertones of black pepper are concentrated in the aromas. Full-bodied and intensely flavorful, with a lingering, rich aftertaste.

Perfect with beef centered dishes, “Queijo da Serra” a traditional portuguese cheese, a Stilton or other blue cheeses and sponge cake desserts
