LambIn 1970, Enrique Forner founded Marqués de Cáceres, Unión Vitivinícola, S.A., a historic Alliance between a region (Cenicero, La Rioja Alta), an enterprising family, the best vine growers and vineyards in La Rioja, and a Bordeaux concept which revolutionised the production and business model. Enrique had one objective - to obtain the best wines. This obsession continues to be the leitmotiv of Cristina Forner, the third generation of this wine family.
This wine is an new generation Rioja wine from Marqués de Cáceres as its name indicates, made only in excellent vintages from 100% Tempranillo. While fresh in style and young, it is made from old vines that are 65-90 years old. A young wine with flair and incredible value for a complex wine!
Tasting Notes
Great value for a wine this complex, rich and powerful. Oak, vanilla, cinnamon, pepper, blueberries, black cherry and smoke. Full bodied with great length.
Food Pairing
Try pairing this Rioja with your next mixed grill feast (mashawai) – it works beautifully with both lamb and beef. The 2018 Generación MC is the ideal red to combine with foie and pork.
