The estate's history goes back to the Crusades, and a Scottish navigator, George Smith, who became the owner of the estate in the 18th century. He was followed by M. Duffour-Dubergier, Mayor of Bordeaux, and then Louis Eschenauer, a famous wine shipper. Château Smith Haut-Lafitte, an estate that was literally reborn starting from 1990 when Florence and Daniel Cathiard became the owners.

One of the best second wines of Cru Classés in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The highest assurance of quality for professionals and wine lovers - their second wine “Les Hauts de Smith” benefits from the best cares both in the vineyard and in the cellar.

Tasting Notes

Pale yellow color, fresh citrus notes on the nose. On the palate, fresh acidity, balanced, finishing with a light mineral touch.
