Tasting Notes
This is from the year Glenfarclas experimented with steam heating the stills, instead of using direct fire. The lightest in color of this quintet, it is invitingly fresh at first, but also has a sugar-y sweetness to it, as well as earthy and tobacco-esque notes. Very interesting on the palate, some menthol notes, as well as tobacco, white pepper and cumin. A subtle touch of oak. Unconventional, but highly enjoyable.
