A delightful Dalmore single malt, distilled in October 2005 was laid to rest in a single refill hogshead. Douglas Laing independently bottled the Highlander for the Old Particular range in May 2019, with 316 bottles released at 48.4% ABV. A brilliantly buttery and fruity whisky here.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Barley sugar, under ripe pear, buttery apple turnover, spiced orange and tobacco.
Palate: Toasted gingerbread slathered with butter, tangy pineapple, tinned pear and candied ginger.
Finish: Sugared cinnamon buns, toasted malt, oak spice and a hint of grass.
