Código 1530 Reposado Tequila
Every drop of Código 1530’s offerings, have been perfected over several generations the way one would a homemade recipe embracing time-honored customs without ever veering from the traditions of the Los Bajos region and its tequilieras and jimadors. The tequila begins with fully-matured agave, which is cooked in stainless steel ovens, fermented utilizing an organic family baker’s yeast in Amatitán, and distilled twice in stills handmade by the distilling family themselves.
Código 1530 Reposado combines the purity of the Blanco and the elegance of their aging process. Aged for six months in the finest Napa Valley Cabernet French White Oak wine barrels, Código 1530 Reposado embraces the agave-driven flavors of Los Bajos tequila, with subtle hints of many of the signature flavors found in whiskeys. The barrels are charred by hand, on-site at their private distillery in Amatitán Codijo age their tequila to taste instead of time, adhering to a time-honored family aging process.
Bright, sweet agave notes with the added complexity of vanilla, toasted caramel and subtle cocoa powder.
