25 year old single malt from the brill Blair Athol! This whisky was distilled all the way back in March 1995, and set aside to age in a single sherry butt for quarter of a century. It was eventually bottled by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular range, with 282 bottles produced, presented at cask strength.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, sweet hard candy initially, then comes toffee and milk chocolate with buttery pastry. On the palate, warming spices give way to charred oak, summer fruit tart and milky coffee. Long with stewed berries, chocolate mousse and dried fruit on the finish.
