Covela Branco 2018
Suggested Food Pairings:
A distinctive blend driven by Avesso, Covela's principal grape, and blended with Chardonnay and a few of other "spices" added by winemaker, Rui Cunha, who has been involved with the Covela project since 1990.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw-colored, floral scents with heavy notes of petals and stone fruit and a hint of aromatic herbs. Citrus notes are present. Despite its floral fragrance, it is a dry wine with well-balanced acidity and minerality typical of the region. Finishes long and elegantly.
Food Pairing
A fantastic wine to combine with a variety of appetizers, but especially with fish and seafood. It also adds a lovely twist to those difficult-to-pair poultry meals, as well as some pork recipes. Its freshness and structure make it an ideal complement to creamy sauces. A wine that can be aged for at least five years.
