The story of Le Petit Cheval Blanc began in 2006, when Château Cheval Blanc acquired Château La Tour du Pin. The two estates are separated only by a small road leading from Saint Emilion to Pomerol. Planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this estate was producing red wine entitled to the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. The vineyard rapidly underwent a profound restructuring, and it appeared that 6,6 hectares had a very interesting profile for white wines. Becoming aware of this fine potential was the start of everything...

Tasting Notes

The colour is bright, limpid, brilliant, a beautiful yellow-green. The first nose, subtle and delicate, is mainly dominated by notes of flowers, acacia and limetree. By airing it, the bouquet becomes more complex and develops various aromatic families, citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruits such as peach, pear or apricot, and mineral notes, with an aromatic intensity that gradually becomes more refined. The palate is fresh and straightforward thanks to a beautiful acidity that guides the tasting.

Food Pairing

Château Cheval Blanc goes particularly well with fish such as monkfish, cod, turbot and John Dory, especially if accompanied by earthy ingredients like mushrooms, for example.
