The Batuta wine is made from two historic vines with varying altitudes and perspectives. The grapes are carefully sorted in our cellar after a rigorous selection procedure in the vineyard before being fermented extremely slowly and with a lengthier maceration period. Every element was meticulously addressed in order to create a complex fine wine.
Tasting Notes
The Batuta 2017 has an appealing ruby-red hue and exhibits a bit more concentration and depth than the previous vintages. Ample undertones of woodland fruits, notes of oak and flowers with a distinct mineral character. A tannic backbone supports a refined and delicate palate with lots of acidity. Despite its youth, the wine has depth and precision, as well as a very long finish.
Food Pairing
The Batuta is a versatile food wine that goes well with a variety of meats and fish, including monkfish, squid, and grilled octopus.
