The vineyard area extends 80 hectares, with the three grape varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and, Petit Verdot. This wine is a blend of all three wonderful grapes 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
Tasting Notes
The color of Château Chasse Spleen 2018 is dark, deep red, brilliant. The nose gives off aromas of smoked cedar, cocoa and pepper, with a strong predominance of blackcurrant. On the palate, it is frank, powerful, full-bodied and very rich. The tannins are muffled and balanced. In the long run, the tannins will melt and all the complexity of a great Bordeaux will reveal itself. The finish is all black cherry.
