Only fully grown and wild-harvested Madrecuishe maguey from Oxaca are used to make this mezcal. After roasting the pinas in an earthen pit, they are crushed with a tahona stone before double distilling in traditional copper stills.
On the nose, Mescal's fruity, slightly spicy aroma is woven from notes of agave, fresh vegetables, green grass and tobacco. On the palate, young mezcal demonstrates a balanced taste with notes of nuts, fruits and green vegetables, smoothly turning into a spicy aftertaste.
Mezcal works well as a digestif and base for cocktails.
