Copperworks Batch 1 - 3 Year Single Malt American Whiskey TBWC

The Copperworks Distillery was named Craft Distillery of the Year 2018 by the American Distilling Institute, so we certainly are expecting excellent things from the very first batch of Copperworks single malt independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! This is an ace 3 year old whiskey from Seattle, packing a wonderful balance of savoury oak and sweet fruit notes. The label hints at the distillers' history with brewing, as oodles of hop vines seem to be creeping into the still room! Get out of there, hops! They're making whiskey, not beer!

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh apples and pears, with a hint of vegetal earthiness to it. A slow build of sandalwood and burnt sugar.

Palate: Toasted oak introduces itself first, followed by creamy orange soda sweetness, plus the return of green apple!

Finish: Malty vanilla on the finish, with another leafy hint tucked away underneath.
