This 12 year old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the beginning of the Bunnahabhain range, launched to fanfare and praise alike for its balance of sweet fruit, nuts, vanilla and a delicate coastal influence. This edition was launched in summer 2010 with a jump in strength to 46.3% and a declaration of no chill-filtration and no added coloring.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh, sweet, seaweed, malt.
Palate: Soft and supple. Sherry, nutty. A little sweetness, malty, juicy sultana. Slightly coastal.
Finish: Sherried, mochaccino, herbal, balanced salty tang.
