Jamaican Blended Rum #1 9 Year Rum TBRC

The first blended rum from That Boutique-y Rum Company! This is a 9 year old expression created with a selection of both pot a column still rums from multiple distilleries in Jamaica. No hints as to which distilleries, though were sure rum buffs will hazard a few guesses.

Batch 1 is a release of 486 bottles.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Brown sugar, pear drops and pineapple juice provide a supple sweetness. Light, spicy oak char and bright cane sugar rise over caramel and a little sweet vanilla. Guava drifts over dried earth and a subtle menthol backdrop.

Palate: Drying oak spices emerge among damp oak and muscovado sugar. The caramel becomes darker as banana bread and prickly molasses rise.

Finish: Pear drops return to provide a candied sweetness on the finish.

Overall: A delectable melding of exotic and enticing Jamaican rum.
