From Douglas Laing's Provenance range comes an 8 year old Caol Ila single malt, distilled back in December 2011. It was aged in a single refill hogshead until February 2020, when it was bottled up with an outturn of 400 bottles, all of them showing off the whisky's Islay provenance. Which makes sense, y'know, considering the bottling range name...
Tasting Notes
Nose: Smoky barley with a little hint of honey and milky tea.
Palate: Dried raspberries, black pepper and another helping of smoke.
Finish: Subtly medicinal, though a hint of raspberry remains.
