"Marqués de Cáceres Antea Rioja Blanco Edición Limitada 2023

About the Producer:
Marqués de Cáceres, established in 1970 by Enrique Forner, is a renowned winery in Spain's Rioja region. The winery is celebrated for its commitment to quality and innovation, playing a pivotal role in modernizing winemaking techniques in Spain.

About the Region:
Rioja, located in northern Spain, is one of the country's most esteemed wine regions. It is divided into three subzones: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa, and Rioja Oriental. The region's diverse climates and soils contribute to the unique characteristics of its wines.

About the Grape Varieties:
Antea Edición Limitada is crafted from a blend of old Viura and Tempranillo Blanco grapes. Viura, the most widespread white variety in Rioja, contributes structure and elegance. Tempranillo Blanco, a native Spanish variety, adds acidity, freshness, and vivacity.

Vinification Process:
The grapes are manually harvested from small parcels of high-altitude vineyards. Each variety is vinified separately. The process includes cold maceration, gentle pressing, and fermentation in new French oak barrels. Regular bâtonnage (lees stirring) enhances complexity and mouthfeel.

Style and Tasting Notes:
The 2023 vintage displays a bright straw-yellow color with greenish hues. On the nose, it offers fresh and complex aromas of ripe fruits such as apple and apricot, complemented by floral notes and subtle hints of toasted oak. On the palate, it is round and full-bodied, with a silky texture, balanced acidity, and a lingering, flavorful finish.

Food Pairing:
Antea Edición Limitada pairs excellently with a variety of dishes, including seafood, shellfish, lean fish, appetizers, and snacks.

Trivia:
Antea is a limited edition wine that showcases the character of Rioja's native white grape varieties. The 2023 vintage spent less than three months aging in new French oak barrels, contributing to its complexity without overpowering the fruit's freshness."
