About the producer:
Marchesi di Barolo is a historic estate located in the Barolo wine region of Piedmont, Italy. With a tradition dating back to the 19th century, the winery is renowned for producing exceptional Barolo wines and other Piedmontese varietals. Their commitment to quality extends to all their products, including their prized Grappa di Barolo.

About the product:
Grappa di Barolo is a traditional Italian pomace brandy made from the pomace of Nebbiolo grapes, the same variety used to produce Barolo wines. The grappa reflects the estate's heritage and dedication to crafting spirits that embody the essence of the region.

Production method:
The pomace is carefully pressed and then distilled using traditional copper pot stills, employing the alembic method. The distillation process is done with a bain-marie system, which preserves the aromatic qualities of the pomace and creates a refined spirit.

Tasting notes:
- Color: Brilliant, transparent white.
- Nose: Intense, with characteristic aromas that evoke the Nebbiolo grape’s rich, fruity and floral profile.
- Palate: Full-bodied and dry, with a warm, persistent finish that lingers on the tongue.

Trivia:
- Grappa di Barolo is traditionally enjoyed as a digestif and is best served at room temperature to highlight its complex flavors.
- The grappa is made using the traditional alembic distillation process, a method that preserves the integrity of the Nebbiolo grape’s characteristics.
