Covela Avesso Reserva 2020

The first 100% Avesso Reserva from Covela, fermented and aged in French and Austrian oak casks. Hand-picked grapes from granitic slopes on the banks of the Douro river in the Vinho Verde demarcation's southeastern part.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant gold with faint straw reflections. A smooth and elegant nose. Floral notes dominate, with notes of tree fruit such as apple, peach, and nectarine following. Finally, a tropical touch with pineapple and fresh coconut. The palate has a creamy texture with a pleasant mineral acidity. Mouthfeel is intense and persistent, displaying a wonderful balance between barrel and wine.
Food Pairing
This wine goes well with simply grilled fish or seafood, as well as sushi and sashimi. Its freshness and lightheartedness make it an excellent wine to serve with appetizers or as an aperitif in the presence of family or good friends.
