This Château Palmer collection is vertical of 4 bottles of the finest vintages that Bordeaux has to offer in one original wooden case.

Though officially ranked a third growth in 1855, the quality of its wines has firmly established Palmer as a top Super Second. Within its appellation, Palmer is the closest rival to their first growth neighbor, Château Margaux. At their best, such as with the legendary 1961 vintage, the wines of Château Palmer are among the greatest anywhere in Bordeaux. The technical team began experimenting with biodynamic farming in 2009 and today Palmer is among the leading biodynamic vineyards in Bordeaux. A growing number of classified growths have since started to follow the example of Palmer and its fellow early adopters Pontet-Canet and Climens.

Palmer 2005 Tasting Notes

Deep purple color with black reflections. The nose literally explodes on notes of great complexity combining Morello cherry and macerated prune, oriental spices, sandalwood, incense, leather, cedar, peppermint, violet, blond tobacco with honey. The fruit is so opulent that the richness in the nose is answered by opulence in the mouth, structured by sumptuous tannins allied to sovereign freshness. The vintage is wholly contained in this Palmer that epitomizes Palmer at its best: breed, balance and elegance.

Palmer 2010 Tasting Notes

Although the alcoholic degree is very high, like in 2009, the acidity synonymous with freshness - and tannic concentration are greater, making for wines with an extremely solid foundation. Their power, combined with a high level of acidity, gives them the potential for becoming benchmarks, and for this to be a legendary vintage. Furthermore, as opposed to previous vintages of the century that are responsible for Bordeaux’s reputation, the ability to choose exactly the right time to pick and perfect control of extraction made it possible to temper the wines' strength and vigor. They are like a finely cut diamond that, over time, will fully express all the delicacy of Chateau Palmer's terroir.

Palmer 2015 Tasting Notes

The relatively high alcoholic content of the 2015 vintage is balanced out by a dense tannic structure without any rustic notes, thanks to perfect phenolic maturity of the pips and skins. At this time, this outstanding balance leads Chateau Palmer to believe that 2015 will be in line with recent great vintages, such as 2010, 2009 and 2005.
