Villa Massa was founded in 1991 by brothers Stefano and Sergio Massa, who brought their family's traditional limoncello recipe from the Sorrento Peninsula to the wider market. The Massa family recipe dates back to 1890 and is closely associated with the use of lemons grown in the Sorrento area of southern Italy.

Villa Massa Limoncello is an Italian lemon liqueur made using the peels of Sorrento lemons. The lemon peels are infused in alcohol to extract their natural citrus oils and aromas, then blended with sugar and water to create a bright, aromatic liqueur with a balance of intense lemon character and sweetness.
