A fabulous sherried Speysider in the form of an indie Dailuaine! Distilled in January 2008, this single malt spent its 12 years of maturation in a single sherry butt. When April 2020 came around, Douglas Laing bottled it up for its Old Particular series, with an outturn of 350 bottles at 48.4% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Candied flowers supported by oak char, toasted nuts and biscotti.
Palate: Barley sugar, candied ginger and dry baking spices, with juicy raisin sweetness.
Finish: Peppery oak and homemade jam lingers.
